The center shot is the mother of all shot techniques. All the basic elements used for a center shot appear in other shot techniques, from putting the right foot forward all the way up to that moment when the ball leaves your hand. It's all in there!
By focusing on this building block technique you can lay the foundations for future development (such as with the jump shot)!
What's in the session?
We begin with a fun warm up game, designed to get players working in small groups and throwing the ball.
Now that everyone's warmed up we look at ways to develop the technique (forearm at 90 degree angle with upper arm) and practice throwing on the move in pairs, before finishing with a fun center shooting on goal practice (letting player shoot with their new and improved center shot!)
