Place cones 1m apart. Player moves from cone to cone, always facing forwards. Along the back and front of the square the player side steps. Moving from the back to the front of the square the player faces forward. Moving from the front to the back of the square the player back peddles.
Side steps- small steps, keeping centre of gravity low. Feet come together quickly, ensuring that the player maintains a small footbase. Foward- player uses quick small steps to drive forwards at speed. Head up and back straight, arms pumping. Back peddling- player moves hips at an angle so that she is able to cross her feet over as she moves backwards. Do not run backwards facing forwards and both hips forwards- player is likely to fall over!
