Kids stand around the edge of the red circle. Initially just have one coach (monster!) stand between the red and blue circles with a pad, and use one ball. Kids pass the ball around the circle. Each time it is passed, the kid takes the ball and drives into the pad, pushing the monster back to the blue line. Once this is done, they return to their starting place in the red circle and pass the ball to the next player who then repeats the process.
They should understand the process pretty quickly, at which point you can bring another coach and ball into play! Make sure the balls are clearly different so that one ball means to go to one coach and the other means the other. Make it FUN and FRANTIC!! The more monster noises the better!
