DESCRIPTION

(i) Players v cut their way up and down the court. Hands are up in front of chest and ready (to catch imaginary pass).
Concentrate on pushing off the outside of the foot.
Take 2-3 paces to the right and (cut) change direction and speed, then 2-3 paces to the left etc.
Player should be on balance at all times.

COACHING POINTS

  • Bend knees when changing direction.
  • Push off backfoot.
  • Accelerate for first few steps.
  • Good balance with feet apart.
