The focus of the 8 week hockey programme is to develop a man2man defense system, which aims to force the opposition onto forehand and the right boards. The aim in offence is to develop a simple, mostly anti-clockwise, rotation of the 3 forwards and a team focus of trying to play down the backhand of the opposition.
Depending on the skill level of the training group there may be a need to add a preparatory week at the beginning making it a 9 week plan in total. This preparatory week is to be used to learn the various different skills and rules in indoor hockey.
These skills and exercises are great for all players basics so even if your team is playing indoors or not, give them a try. Even if your not in an indoor league, these new drills are great for a team practicing indoors during the winter months.
