Working in 2 teams players must make passes across the square. When the ball reaches the other side it counts as a point. The teams work in opposite directions, one team horizontally (blue), one team vertically (green).
Players on the outside edge can move up and down the length of their line, but can not move off it.
Players in the centre of the square can move anywhere within the square but must make sure they are aware of the players around them.
The focus of the practice is on the defenders.
The 2 defenders (red) work inside the square and can only intercept passes from their allocated team.
Players along the sides need to moving all the time and reacting to the position of the player in the box
defenders must keey an eye on both the player on the edge and making the pass
defenders should think about their body position - wide stance, arms out and up following the ball.
Progression:
Defenders can intercept either ball (make sure they communicate!)
