Excellent drills, very detailed videos. Useful site for my U15 boys team.
I am a new coach and very young, how do I earn respect from my players?
I'm looking for drills that develop young players 3D skills, any ideas?
Currently coaching years six to eight. 40 young lads - all keen as mustard but with different skill levels and experience. It would seem best to stream. But I am concerned this creates an elite divide...At this age is it enough to power through core skills e.g passing using slaps, pushes and clip hit exercises or should we be - in spite of numbers trying to coach technique one to one... The enthusiasm is great but so many youngsters need a broader brush approach which is concerning me...
Suggestions on how to play this system. I have very young 1st team so feel i must play defensive hockey. Thanks
Would like to give certificates to young players when they achieve certain standard and can complete a progressive number of drills and skills to an agreed standard. Looking for ideas on how to set this up and what to include eg can dribble for 50m without loosing ball, can push ball correctly, can hit ball more than 10m, can aim ball through goals 5m apart or something along that line for 5year olds to 10 years probably

I'm in the U.S., coaching a team of 11-12 year olds, with 1-2 years of experience. Defending the circle, when the ball is loose, my players are not getting control of the ball to hit out of the circle. It's congested with opponent and my team's players. If my players get control, they lose it quickly. If the opponent has control, my players aren't very good at taking the ball or stopping the opponent from taking a shot. Luckily we have a good goalie but she can only do so much. (Full disclosure: I didn't play FH but have a decent understanding of the game. No one else in my community would step up to coach so it's fallen to me.)
Hi,I'm looking for some resources for drills/activities for oztag. Young people ages 6-14.
Playing adult mens at a low league level, mixture of ageing experienced players, inexperienced young and not so young players. We normally play 343 diamond, with mixed results, when I works it works well.We are without our keeper , so an outfield player (me , not so young, not so good) padding up.Really need a formation that is going to discourage pressure on the last line of defence (this section has the best, older experienced players).Bit vague and difficult to answer, I would think but a pointer would be good. Many thanks
Hi! Im Martina, I am 25 years old and I am in charge of a weekly training session for a Mens Seniors team. They are a mixed group, from 17-60 years old. Im finding it a bit hard to find a balance for all the players as there are young but also experienced ones. I want to make the trainings fun and dynamic, so any help with drills is appreciated!Thank you
