Sportplan rugby has played a large role in my team's love for the game!
Has anyone got any other websites or software they use to help them with their coaching?
The law says that a forward pass is one "thrown forward" "in the direction of the opponents' goal line" Does that mean that, if the ball is passed and the receiver catches it NEARER to the opponents goal line than from where the ball was passed that the pass was forward? (Leaving to one side any other touches of the ball that might have taken place.) Maybe an example is better. Player 1 passes the ball sideways - releasing it on the 22 metre line. Player 2 (with no other player having touched the ball), running from well behind the 22 metre line, catches the ball when it has travelled sideways but the ball is now 20 metres from the opponents goal line (2 metres further forward from the place that the ball was passed). Is that a forward pass or throw forward? And if not, why not?
Hi there, just advice, I currently play for a local team, only social rugby, I love the sport, but so does my little boy who's 4... I was interested in finding out what qualifications processes you would need to go through to setup a little rugby class in my local area. Im not looking to teach the Kids the Rules of Rugby or have games, but more touch and chase the tag, fitness, co-ordinations skills etc... but how qualified do I need to be, and where would be a good start to getting a programme together... Hope you can help....
I've started a team in the Cape Verdean Islands, we need help, does anyone know how to find rugby sponsor?? I was able to get enough balls sent from abroad, but these guys don't even have mouthguards. Anyone ever done this before??
Hello, My name is Jonna Berry, we just started a women's team in Ames, IA. We just finished our first season with 9 players, we combined teams with another women's team to play in matches this fall. We are having difficulties recruiting members from the community. We have posted fliers around Ames and other towns. Any other suggestions? Any suggestions as to how to get people to take this team seriously? Thank you for your time.

You can use Sportplan to challenge your players to stay busy at home and keep it specific to Rugby. How many balls can you juggle and how long can you keep it up for? Video proof needed! Let the community know how you're challenging your players at home!

hi - I'm being charged £10 a month for sportsplan. when I check payment history it's says I haven't paid anything since 2020. I need to unsubscribe as it's unaffordable for a voluntary community club. can you help please? jo
Not sure what language this is, but it's not English.I am considering upgrading my subscription, but not unless all the plans are available in English, Thanks.
what drills would a coach implement in training to support a 1331 attack?
Getting quite frustrated that my u10's are not using the space on the pitch and tend to bunch up. Despite various drills and game scenarios to force them to spread out and pass to someone in space they revert in any game to bunching up around the ball and taking it back into the thick of the opposition rather than looking left or right! Any ideas how to change their ways?
Some of my U9s players, who are experiencing contact for their first season, are showing reticence in tackling - how do you coach or get through the fear factor/element?
My fowards seem afraid to ruck and stand around the ruck while in the way of the scrum half trying to get the ball out to the backs. They also don't support the ball carrier while he is being tackled. Please help me with any suggestions!!!
I have started an under 10s team up, and I would say about 8 from the 13 children I have , did not play rugby until about 6 months ago. Of these players, there seems to be a lot of potential, as we are scoring tries against teams, that very rarely concede tries.the problem I got with them, is that we are very poor at organising our selves in defense when the opposition has the ball, which does result in us conceding quite a few tries. We have some very good tacklers in the team. Can anyone offer some ideas on how I can get them to organise themselves? Thanks . Chris.
