Sportplan rugby has played a large role in my team's love for the game!
i need ideas for putting together a coaching session for under 9 rugby
I am trying to put together a season long coaching schedule for under 13s and under 14s covering all the aspects of the game
I need to keep a training diary and I have no clue as how to start one
RFU - proposed Mini's rule changes%3A All - just a quick straw poll%3A Have any CLUBS that you are aware of officially come out in SUPPORT of these changes? If not, have they come out officially rejecting the proposed changes, or are they adopting a "wait and see" attitude? Regards Stephe
looking for drills for getting loose forwards down onto the ball and ball retention at the ground level.
Making the full-back position an attractive proposition. Often over-looked, the full-back position is a vital player in anyones team if he is used and brought into the game. Does anyone have any technical/positional material to coach prospective players in this position?
Has anyone got a good backs move from scrum at halfway after failed restart.
Hi i was just wondering what the regulations were for u9s and the wearing of mouthguards,i have a player that wants to play but he has recently been fitted with braces on his teeth and cannot wear a mouth guard
an RFU directive states that coaches should not hold pads/shields for juniors to run into during sessions, or even juniors holding pads for each other!!! I notice a lot of drills utilise pads as this was something we always used when I trained years ago! I personally think they are a good thing (especially since some of the juniors I coach are 'not small'!) BUT wondered what the general thoughts were out there in SportPlan world....
As a club (Ontario, Canada) we face an issue with "player retention" from our U16 Provincial Champions to our U18's and from there to the Senior age grade. We appreciate the pressure our young players face (career, girls, leaving home, etc.). Have any other clubs found a way to "keep players in the fold" by supporting them in "off the field" matters? Any advice?
How can I improve my U15 ball retention skills? They keep getting stripped or lose the ball in contact.
Should I mix my best and worst rugby players in the team, or, divide them into similar skills and abilities? Asked using Sportplan on Mobile
Why donât teams set up a driving maul directly from a penalty, rather than risk losing a scrum or line out?
