Sportplan rugby has played a large role in my team's love for the game!
Does any body have a plan on how and why Squad rotation works when you are running 3 teams, A,B,C to ensure that the best players from the lower teams get to move up and down through the other teams. It is not expected that the C team players will rotate to the a team but we want to try and capture the better players from B and C and rotate them up to the team above.
My son has played all season U9's on the wing and has now be brought into a inside centre role. What are the key differences he needs to make to be successful in his new position
RFU - proposed Mini's rule changes%3A All - just a quick straw poll%3A Have any CLUBS that you are aware of officially come out in SUPPORT of these changes? If not, have they come out officially rejecting the proposed changes, or are they adopting a "wait and see" attitude? Regards Stephe
Following on from Question about U10 Lineouts - Is it allowable for players at this age to practice the lift in training? I dont think its advisable for a match situation at this age but would like to start coaching it now so as to give development time.
hi, i coach U15's and was planning on using sports drinks (isotonic) during training and matches, but have been told by another coach i carn't. Is this true and if so is there an alternative please, thnks Ady
an RFU directive states that coaches should not hold pads/shields for juniors to run into during sessions, or even juniors holding pads for each other!!! I notice a lot of drills utilise pads as this was something we always used when I trained years ago! I personally think they are a good thing (especially since some of the juniors I coach are 'not small'!) BUT wondered what the general thoughts were out there in SportPlan world....
Have an U15 s side. While they get physically warmed up, it takes them about 15 minutes to actually get involved in the game mentally. Have integrated game oriented drills into the warm up but doesn't seem to make any difference. Ideas?
It's my first time coaching a rugby team is there any tips and information of your experience in coaching ???
How can I improve my U15 reaction timings? They seem so much slower to react than most of the teams they play.
How can I improve my U15 ball retention skills? They keep getting stripped or lose the ball in contact.
What are the laws for U15 girls

How can I get players (U15s) to take the initiative and to go looking for the ball? They have the skills to use the ball when they get it but remain waiting for a pass. This applies especially to the wings and fullbacks. The same is true about backs getting involved in rucks and forwards not picking up loose ball. (I've only just inherited this team).

Any "simple" attacking moves from a scrum that you can recommend for a U15s XV side. Looking to get them to think about how the back line would would set up and have different options from a) center field and b) tight left or right all at the half way mark.
How did the Modern Olympics originally begin and why are they so culturally significant today?
