DESCRIPTION

Attacker dribbles towards bench. Defender tries to intercept.
When attacker succeeds 1 point, when defender succeeds 1 point

COACHING POINTS

stealing the ball :
- contact with attacker
- put hand between ball and defender's hand when you hear the ball bounce

defence of dribbling:

B dribble across the court.
R1 tries to snatch the balls.
When your ball is snatches you become a defender as well.

Intercept and collect game | 326 defence of dribbling

Intercept and collect game:

Three teams of three, only two teams have a ball though - these two teams are the blues and the greens.

The teams with the ball are only allowed to dribble the ball and pass to players on their own team.

The third team (white) tries to defend and snatch all the balls. If they are successful at intercepting or tackling the ball they take it back to their area (blue box).

Once a team has lost the ball they go and collect a new ball from their area.

How long until the white team has all the ball in their area?

B dribbles to the other side.
R tries to snatch the balls.

Success : you may dribble.

Defender vs Attacker - 1 vs 1 | 326 defence of dribbling

Defender vs Attacker - 1 vs 1:

On the coach's call players from both sides try to dribble towards the goal as quickly as possible.

At the same time though a defender must try and prevent the attacker from getting a shot off on goal.
