Here’s a fun game for a large group that develops skills and control for self hitting and hand-eye and catching.
1. Divide your players into two teams ( up to six players on a team) and each team will play on half the court.
2. One or two players from each team start on the hitting side.
3. The other players are positioned on the opposite side of the court in fixed locations.
4. The hitters bounce and hit a forehand to one of their teammates.
5. If the teammate catches the ball either on one bounce or in the air that player runs over and also becomes a hitter.
6. The first team to clear their side of the court wins.
VARIATIONS:
1. If a hitter hits a ball in the net they become a catcher.
VERSION 2:
1. Players start on one baseline and self feed from different stations and hit to targets.
2. Players are trying to move from station to station.
3. A player has two chances at each station to hit the target.
4. If they miss the first they can either stay at that station and wait for their next turn or chance it.
5. If they miss the chance they go back to the starting point.
6. Players continue their turn until they miss or they decide to stay.
