Getting tactics spot on in both attack and defence should mean that your team has a complete all round game. Ideally in attack, you would exploit the space and break with pace to increase your chances of scoring, whilst in defence, you would want the opposite to happen! Defensively you want to slow the opposition breaks down and plug the gaps to reduce the space for them to play Football.
What's in the session?
This session is focused on the key principles when transitions occur and the primary objectives for the team.
Players will understand the importance of reacting quickly to a transition, whether it is attack to defence or defence to attack.
Delay, deny, deflect when defending, predicting play, breaking quickly, stretching play, being creative, quality of final decision in attack.
The session is aimed at players U14+.
